Engagement + Wedding

The benefit of having the same photographer for both engagement and wedding is that the style will be the same, and you will be able to develop a priceless working relationship with me throughout your engagement all the way to the big day - and hopefully beyond.

Elopements are becoming increasingly common, and the best part about them is that you can make them as grand or as simple as you want - wherever you want.

The FAQ

Is there a contract?

Yes. Prior to our session or event, you as the client must sign a contract. Always have a contract between you and your photographer! It protects both the photographer and the client. I highly encourage all my clients to read the contract thoroughly and discuss any questions with me before signing.

How does payment work?

Sales tax will be added to package prices, if applicable.

For general portraits, payment is due immediately following our session before we both depart. You can pay ahead of time, if you'd like, but it is not necessary. I take cash or card, but I do not accept checks.

For weddings, retainer is due when you book me. Remainder is due 30 days prior. You will receive an online invoice where you can make payment in full or in however many increments you want. If payment is not made in full 30 days prior, I will have to cancel.

Do you have a retainer?

For general portraits or elopements, no, I do not. This may change in the future.
For weddings, I do. It is 30% of the package cost which must be paid to reserve your date in my calendar.

What are the travel costs?

Travel within the Black Hills is free within 55 miles of my home in Rapid City, SD. Outside of the Black Hills is based on mileage - and lodging (if needed). Mileage is charged based on IRS standards. If lodging is required, I will arrange and use whatever lodging is blocked for your wedding/event. If your event does not have lodging blocked, I will book modest accommodation as close to the event as possible with your approval and include in the final invoice.

Do you offer prints?

Your online gallery will have access to the print store provided by Pixieset. All orders are created, fulfilled, and shipped by Pixieset. However, if you can't find what you're looking for or want something a little more custom, please contact me as I do work with two private photo labs which can create almost anything you have in mind.

May I have the raw, unedited images?

Yes, for a fee. If you are interested in the RAW images, please email pineandwillowphoto@gmail.com to discuss pricing. Please note that I retain copyright over all images, RAW and edited. RAWs are very large files, and I often need to clean out my harddrives to make space for future clients. While your online gallery is available for 6 months, the RAW images may be deleted sooner than that.
